When working as a driver you will be running YSE’s Land Rover Shuttle. Guests are ferried to and from the lifts, ski school meeting points, shops and bars, etc, in Val d’Isère. This is offered to guests staying in chalets La Grande Sassière, Le Vieux Crêt, La Maison du Rocher and La Croix. The Land Rover service operates between 8.30 and 10.00 in the morning, and 3.30 to 8.00 in the afternoon/evening.
YSE drivers must have a valid and clean UK driving licence. An international driving licence is not sufficient. It would be a definite advantage if you had a car mechanic qualification or extensive knowledge of car maintenance. Please do not apply unless you are punctual, patient and self-motivated.
When working in the Les Chardons kitchen you will be washing up, helping prepare food, taking care of deliveries, dealing with refuse, cleaning the kitchen and making sure it is tidy and organised. Experience of kitchen work and cleaning are an advantage.
This position also includes shovelling snow from paths, carrying suitcases to and from chalets, distributing equipment, wine, laundry and logs, etc, and generally helping others when available.
In addition to a reasonable wage, you will be able to ski on six days of the week for variable hours, depending on daily workload. We provide travel to and from the UK to Val d’Isère, accommodation, food, medical insurance, a ski pass, and the loan of skis or snowboard and boots.
Please read the Recruitment Overview before applying to work for YSE. You must have a UK passport, a UK National Insurance Number and have worked in the UK, being paid through PAYE, before you apply.
